Bishop Donn Hall, Ph.D.
Overseer
Bishop Donn R. Hall is a native of Jonesboro, LA. He transitioned to the DMV area in May 1999, after hearing a clear word from the Lord that this region was his “blessed place.” Despite the initial struggles and hardships, Bishop Hall fully trusted God and declared over his life that “I will live by every Word that comes from the mouth of the Lord!” He has been serving for 23 years as the Senior Pastor of the ever-thriving Zion Baptist Church of Kinsale, VA.
Bishop Hall is married to Shirley A. (Reese) Hall, and they celebrated 49 years of marriage in April 2025. Bishop and Lady Hall have two sons, Donn Jr. and Nicolas; one daughter, Dionne; a daughter-in-love, Sharnta; and son-in-love, Edward Jr. They have a blended family of 7 grandchildren: Jazmine, Came’Ron, Trinity, Edgerin, Bri’Elle, Edward III, and their newest grand-daughter, Daisyah. Bishop Hall also has a host of sons and daughters in ministry.
Bishop Hall preached his initial message on October 19, 1974 and he now celebrates 50 years of preaching and teaching God’s uncompromising Word. He patterns himself after Jesus Christ alone, serving in the authority and obedience of God’s kingdom principles. In June 2022, Bishop Hall received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Ministry degree from Grace Bible College & Theological Seminary (Weldon, NC); and he continues to love, learn, live, lean and depend on the instructions of the Most High God. He walks in the Prophetic and Apostolic giftings, testifying of and demonstrating the goodness, greatness and miraculous power of God everywhere he goes. His hope and belief is that his anointing and testimonies of what God can and will do will help empower, encourage, enlighten, and uplift others along this Christian journey.
